My Yoga journey started only five months' ago with Hema Mam...I had heard about Yoga often lot, and my hubby also was often asking me to join Yoga, but I remained unconcerned about Yoga. My younger sister, Roopa, introduced me to Hema Mam, and I was so impressed with her teaching...she teaches slowly and softly that Yoga beginners understand the postures and get courage and confidence to attempt practising Yoga..she corrects the mistakes, if any, of every student personally and softly in a way instilling confidence that the students remain motivated and continue practising Yoga. These qualities of Hema Mam coupled with her own Yoga practice along with Students (which quality, I feel, instills courage and confidence in students), inspired me quite a lot and since that moment, I became one of Hema Mam's students.
By doing yoga for the past 5 months
1. My flexibility has improved a lot.
2. Earlier I was not able to sit on floor for a long time due to thigh and leg pain. I was feeling tightness in my thighs, but now I am able to sit on the floor with ease and without pain even for a longer duration
3. Likewise I was not able to climb the stairs freely due to knee pain, but after doing yoga, I am able to climb the stairs very freely.
4. I was suffering from frozen shoulder very frequently. I was not able to lift my hand upwards. But now I am able to lift my hand and also there is no much pain.
5. I was suffering from constipation too, but now i have recovered from the same. 6. My sugar levels also have come down
Feeling great relief from the clutches of these problems, I thank God for having guided me to a wonderful Yoga Guru. Wish her Yoga teaching spread to many students like me for their betterment...Let her contribution exude the fragrance of Yoga for many students like me for their betterment... Pray God to give her continued strength and energy in all walks of her life,
